Introduction

Hi. I'm the Senior Druid (president) and co-founder of Larrea Tridentata Grove, ADF, a local neopagan congregation of Ar nDraiocht Fein: A Druid Fellowship (ADF). I'm also the grove Storyteller and occasional Presiding Druid for rituals.

What is your spiritual background? (druid, wiccan, ecclectic, atheist, [ex-]Christian, etc)

Before finding ADF in 2000, I had been an unaffiliated seeking pagan since 1989 when I first left home - probably long before that even. I have always been a polytheist, believing many other gods existed beyond the one claimed by Christians.

What do you know about ancient druids?

I know that we know very little about the ancient druids beyond the fact that they existed. I know that the Irish word associated with the English word druid means wizard and I know that they were assumed to be of the intelligentsia class.

What do you know about modern druids?

I know there are 2 major modern world-wide druid organizations and numerous smaller druid groups and orgs. I know the modern druid movement is about 100 years old and the styles of druidry vary significantly from group to group.

How do you feel you relate to modern druid spirituality?

I'm a hard polytheist and I believe the ADF style of druidry most fits my spirituality. I love and worship the gods, our ancestors and the spirits of nature that surround us. I hold the Earth as Mother dear.

This is an outgoing, fun and accepting group. Seeking pagans, curious wiccans, LGBT folks and members of the kink community are all welcome equally - though it is a public place and certain standards of behavior are expected. Discussion can wander in a friendly sort of way but always wanders back to the topics at hand.
